About Lansdowne Heights

Our Community

Caring is Our Privilege

At Lansdowne Heights, caring isn’t a job description as it’s the standard we hold every member of our team to, every single day. Our staff is loyal, stable, and deeply committed to the residents and families they serve. Most of them came to this work because it’s personal. They’ve watched family members navigate Alzheimer’s and dementia. They understand what families are going through when they walk through our doors for the first time. And they show up every day determined to earn the trust that families place in them.

We specialize exclusively in memory care, and that focus matters. Every decision we make, every program we run, and every person we hire reflects one commitment: to make a genuine difference in the lives of individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive impairments, and the families who love them.

Family Support Group

A dementia or Alzheimer’s diagnosis doesn’t just affect your loved one, it impacts your entire family. That’s why alongside the care we provide residents, we offer a monthly virtual family support group led by Anne Benefield, geriatric care manager.

It’s a confidential space for education, honest conversation, and real connection with other families navigating the same journey. We talk through the progression of the disease, address fears and frustrations, and build a community of support around every family we serve. Because when your loved one moves to Lansdowne Heights, you become part of our community too.

Experience Life at Lansdowne Heights

Daily life at Lansdowne Heights is warm, purposeful, and full. From a 24/7 activity calendar and live entertainment to chef-prepared meals, three secured outdoor spaces, and a team that knows every resident by name as life here is designed to be genuinely supportive and engaging.

The best way to understand what makes Lansdowne Heights is to experience our close-knit community in-person

Transparent Communication

A Family Business

Lansdowne Heights is operated by Hamister Group, LLC, a family-owned business with a portfolio of senior living communities across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast. What sets Hamister apart is the level of personal investment that comes from ownership that is actively involved, not hands-off.

At Lansdowne Heights, that means:

  • Prioritizing the hiring, development, and retention of exceptional people who genuinely care
  • Hands-on support through regular leadership visits to the community
  • Transparent accountability through quarterly Customer Experience Surveys shared with families and used to continuously improve care

When you choose Lansdowne Heights, you’re choosing a community backed by an ownership group that measures success the same way families do — by the quality of life of every resident.

A Letter from The Executive Director

Justin Roberts

I have worked in the Senior Living industry since 2005. I have opened Memory Care facilities in the past and have enjoyed my time at all of them. It has been my absolute privilege to work with the Lansdowne team, many of whom are like family here, as we work to make this community the best it can be. They are some of the most caring individuals I have ever met, who always put our residents first.

If you have not had the chance, please schedule some time to visit us. I’d love for you and your loved one to meet our employees and residents and experience first-hand what a special place Lansdowne Heights is. Thank you for considering my second home for your loved one’s new home.

Sincerely,
